We have a range of Drama classes starting from age three. Our youngest students learn the basics of stagecraft, learning how to create a character through physicality and voice, and through using familiar stories, learn how to turn a book into a live performance with the power of our imagination.
As students progress up through the classes, the focus turns to script work. Each student has a speaking role in our productions, tailored to their needs. Character development plays a huge role in these classes, to create believable characters and performances. An emphasis on physicality and voice projection helps students to deliver a confident performance on stage.

With multiple classes working towards putting together a show with a narrative, without seeing the other classes until very close to show time, trust and team building is worked on. Students are encouraged to realise that every single person is important to the team, with students also being given extra tasks to help with backstage at performances to ensure a smooth running production.
Our Drama classes also help with reading and writing skills, and students are actively encouraged to put their ideas forward in rehearsals, making our productions very much a team effort. The ability to speak confidently in front of others is valuable skill, and every student is encouraged to express themselves freely in order to boost self-confidence.
